Normalmente, yo personalmente soy muy \"Daydreamer\"<\/a>esc\u00e9ptico con respecto a las pinturas antiincrustantes, ya que, en mis 20 a\u00f1os de experiencia como propietario de un barco y navegante, siempre he tenido problemas para tener un casco limpio. Despu\u00e9s de probar muchos productos diferentes, me acostumbr\u00e9 a carenar mi barco antes de mis competiciones de vela para evitar navegar \u00abcon el freno de mano puesto\u00bb. Incluso cuando dej\u00e9 de participar en carreras, sol\u00eda limpiar mi casco lo m\u00e1s tarde posible<\/strong>, preferiblemente a finales de junio, pocas semanas antes de mis cruceros de verano. <\/p>\n

Con este esp\u00edritu, hemos probado la Magellan 630<\/strong> de Boero Yacht Coatings<\/strong>.<\/a> Es una pintura antiincrustante autopulimentable sin cobre<\/strong> con la innovadora tecnolog\u00eda SPC<\/strong> (copol\u00edmero autopulimentable).<\/p>\n

El producto se aplic\u00f3 en nuestro barco el pasado mes de marzo<\/strong> en nuestro centro de pruebas ubicado dentro de Alfa Shipyard<\/strong><\/a> en Marina di Varazze<\/a>, Italia. En esa ocasi\u00f3n, asistidos y supervisados por el atento personal de Boero, filmamos el video tutorial que ahora puede encontrar a continuaci\u00f3n. <\/p>\n

\"Boero<\/a>En su amarre, nuestro Daydreamer<\/strong> expone su lado izquierdo al sol; adem\u00e1s, nuestro vecino de amarre no ha puesto su barco en el agua hasta mediados de julio, por lo que inevitablemente este ser\u00e1 el lado \u00abd\u00e9bil\u00bb de nuestra prueba. De hecho, la temperatura del agua contribuye significativamente a provocar una r\u00e1pida contaminaci\u00f3n.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Hoy, 3 de agosto, estamos en C\u00f3rcega y nos sumergimos para averiguar qu\u00e9 ha sucedido 5 meses despu\u00e9s de la aplicaci\u00f3n<\/strong> de esta pintura antiincrustante en nuestro casco.<\/p>\n

Tan pronto como las burbujas generadas por nuestra inmersi\u00f3n se disipan, el casco del Daydreamer aparece claramente. Nuestra primera impresi\u00f3n es positiva y nos sorprende inmediatamente<\/strong> el hecho de que el casco, el eje y la h\u00e9lice est\u00e9n sustancialmente limpios. Por supuesto, hay un ligero anillo verde aqu\u00ed y all\u00e1, pero no hay signos de incrustaciones. <\/p>\n

No hay signos de protozoos o macroalgas<\/strong>, excepto en las tomas de mar que, \"Denti<\/a>instaladas despu\u00e9s del tratamiento, est\u00e1n literalmente invadidas de dientes de le\u00f3n.<\/p>\n

Continuamos nuestra inspecci\u00f3n submarina y decidimos echar un vistazo tanto al aleta<\/strong> como a la pala del tim\u00f3n<\/strong>, cuyas zonas situadas cerca de la l\u00ednea de flotaci\u00f3n normalmente est\u00e1n sujetas al fen\u00f3meno debido a su verticalidad y consiguiente exposici\u00f3n al sol. Todo est\u00e1 bien y perfectamente limpio. La quilla de orza<\/strong> tambi\u00e9n est\u00e1 igualmente limpia. <\/p>\n

Desde que carenamos, hemos recorrido unas 750 millas n\u00e1uticas<\/strong>, tanto navegando a vela como a motor. Los ejes y las h\u00e9lices son generalmente las \u00e1reas m\u00e1s expuestas al problema, especialmente si, como en nuestro caso, la h\u00e9lice est\u00e1 equipada con palas orientables<\/strong>. Los mecanismos que enrasan la h\u00e9lice e invierten las palas suelen ser los primeros en cubrirse de incrustaciones. Sin embargo, lo que encontramos es solo un ligero anillo inevitable y algunas peque\u00f1as \u00abfloraciones\u00bb en la superficie. <\/p>\n

\"Magellan<\/a>Conclusiones<\/h3>\n

El Magellan 630<\/b>, utilizado para nuestro casco, y el Orion Extra<\/strong>, aplicado tanto en el eje como en la h\u00e9lice, ofrecen una calidad superior a la media. Lo que puedo decir es que nunca hab\u00eda visto tales resultados. <\/p>\n

Por supuesto, la calidad de la aplicaci\u00f3n tambi\u00e9n es importante y Alfa Shipyard<\/strong> ha hecho un muy buen trabajo.<\/p>\n
