Pens\u00e1ndolo bien, debi\u00f3 de ser una elecci\u00f3n valiente para Mercury, ya que el nuevo producto promete superar a la legendaria familia Verado, cuyo par y, sobre todo, su famoso \u00absonido\u00bb se han convertido en sin\u00f3nimo de satisfacci\u00f3n (por no usar un t\u00e9rmino m\u00e1s fuerte) para sus propietarios. <\/p>\n<p>Sin prestar atenci\u00f3n a su onerosa herencia, Mercury ha construido un motor V-6 de 3,4 litros que es significativamente m\u00e1s ligero que los predecesores Verado de 4 cilindros en l\u00ednea de 2,1 litros y 175 CV\/200 CV y los Verado de 6 cilindros en l\u00ednea de 2,6 litros y 225 CV.<\/p>\n<p><strong>M\u00e1s cilindrada, menos peso y, sobre todo, m\u00e1s ahorro de combustible<\/strong>. Estas son promesas importantes que merecen ser probadas. Por eso subimos a bordo de una <strong>Boston Whaler 250 Outrage<\/strong> (que, a pesar de una eslora total de 7,75 metros, \u00a1pesa casi 4 toneladas!) y vamos a averiguar si las promesas de Mercury se traducen en la pr\u00e1ctica o no.  <\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h3>Mercury V6 Fourstroke 225 &#8211; Prueba en el mar<\/h3>\n<p>Zarpamos del muelle del Marine Stadium y pusimos rumbo al puente que delimita la zona donde podemos pisar a fondo el acelerador. Nuestra Boston est\u00e1 propulsada por dos fuerabordas <a href=\"https:\/\/www.mercurymarine.com\/en-gb\/it\/outboard-motors\/Fourstroke-V6-Outboard-Motor?utm_medium=us+&amp;utm_campaign=Region+Redirection&amp;utm_term=en-gb&amp;utm_source=Overlay_IP%3Dit\">Mercury V6 FourStroke<\/a> de 225 CV que, en su versi\u00f3n blanca con una banda central superior roja Marlboro, sin duda no pasan desapercibidos. El dise\u00f1o general del nuevo V6 es atractivo y audaz, y los motores se ofrecen en diferentes opciones de color y acabados para que combinen mejor con el color de la embarcaci\u00f3n.  <\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.tuttobarche.it\/magazine\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2018\/02\/Boston-Whaler-250-Outrage.jpg\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignleft wp-image-30569\" title=\"Boston Whaler 250 Outrage\" src=\"https:\/\/www.tuttobarche.it\/magazine\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2018\/02\/Boston-Whaler-250-Outrage.jpg\" alt=\"Boston Whaler 250 Outrage\" width=\"430\" height=\"287\"><\/a>A baja velocidad, el ruido del motor es casi imperceptible, pero, cuando le pido al piloto que acelere un poco, empieza a \u00abcantar\u00bb una m\u00fasica que me suena: el sonido t\u00edpico de los motores Verado. Desafortunadamente, sin embargo, no podemos acelerar demasiado aqu\u00ed&#8230; <\/p>\n<p>Pasamos el puente y el mar frente a nosotros est\u00e1 muy agitado, sacudido por la multitud de barcos que, como nosotros, est\u00e1n experimentando sus pruebas en el mar. Muchos pilotos navegan a toda velocidad, experimentando giros r\u00e1pidos y muy cerrados que inevitablemente resultan en olas realmente molestas. As\u00ed que, decidimos ir a una zona menos transitada donde calentar con los nuevos motores.  <\/p>\n<p>Al pisar a fondo el acelerador, percibimos inmediatamente la potencia del par; los dos fuerabordas Mercury no se dejan intimidar por los cinco pasajeros a bordo y el desplazamiento de 4 toneladas de la embarcaci\u00f3n y empujan con una fuerza bestial. La mayor cilindrada ha dado como resultado una aceleraci\u00f3n extraordinaria. <\/p>\n<p>Sin embargo, no es solo el empuje lo que ha captado nuestra atenci\u00f3n, ya que, cuando aceleramos, el ruido del motor se convierte en un rugido emocionante. El sonido que o\u00edmos es embriagador, su llamada es absolutamente irresistible. Echamos un vistazo alrededor y finalmente encontramos una zona segura donde podemos llevar a cabo nuestras pruebas de aceleraci\u00f3n y registrar los resultados.  <\/p>\n<p>No estamos enamorados de la Boston que estamos usando para nuestra <a href=\"https:\/\/www.tuttobarche.it\/magazine\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2018\/02\/Mercury-V6-Fourstroke-Sea-trial.jpg\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignright wp-image-30573\" title=\"Prueba en el mar del Mercury V6 Fourstroke\" src=\"https:\/\/www.tuttobarche.it\/magazine\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2018\/02\/Mercury-V6-Fourstroke-Sea-trial.jpg\" alt=\"Prueba en el mar del Mercury V6 Fourstroke\" width=\"430\" height=\"287\"><\/a>prueba, ya que es pesada, poco \u00e1gil y poco reactiva. Al planear, est\u00e1 excesivamente baja por la popa y necesita al menos 15-16 nudos para nivelarse. <\/p>\n<p>Sin embargo, la prueba de aceleraci\u00f3n es decididamente positiva: en tan solo 7 segundos, la embarcaci\u00f3n empieza a planear y alcanza los 25 nudos. Estamos a bordo de una embarcaci\u00f3n de paseo dise\u00f1ada espec\u00edficamente para la pesca y, a esta velocidad, los traslados de un lugar a otro ser\u00e1n ciertamente de bajo coste, ya que el caudal\u00edmetro indica un nivel de consumo de combustible de menos de 2 litros\/milla n\u00e1utica para ambos motores. <\/p>\n<p>Alcanzamos la velocidad m\u00e1xima -poco m\u00e1s de 42 nudos- en tan solo 11,4 segundos y, de nuevo, los motores demuestran ser muy eficientes en cuanto a combustible, \u00a1ya que navegamos a solo 3,34 l\/mn!<\/p>\n<p>Sin embargo, es a velocidades de crucero cuando estos motores dan lo mejor de s\u00ed. De hecho, podemos navegar a 3.500-4.500 rpm y a 23-35 nudos con un consumo de combustible de solo 2 litros por milla n\u00e1utica. En resumen, \u00a1un rendimiento extraordinario!  <\/p>\n<p>Pasamos los minutos restantes probando aceleraciones y deceleraciones, intentando poner los motores en aprietos, pero en vano. La aceleraci\u00f3n y el par son siempre tangiblemente mejores de lo esperado. <\/p>\n<h3>Comentarios<\/h3>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.tuttobarche.it\/magazine\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2018\/02\/Luca-DAmbrosio.jpg\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignleft wp-image-30575\" title=\"Luca D'Ambrosio\" src=\"https:\/\/www.tuttobarche.it\/magazine\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2018\/02\/Luca-DAmbrosio.jpg\" alt=\"Luca D'Ambrosio\" width=\"430\" height=\"287\"><\/a>La mayor cilindrada que Mercury ha introducido para sus nuevos motores ha demostrado ser realmente eficiente. Los nuevos motores Mercury V6 FourStroke son en realidad un paso por delante de sus hom\u00f3logos Verado. <\/p>\n<p>Aceleraci\u00f3n impresionante, gran ahorro de combustible y un peso ligero considerable.
