Mar.Co R-Evolution X36 is a decidedly intriguing and aggressive Maxi-RIB that, not by chance, on this occasion has been powered by three Mercury Verado V10 engines of 350 horsepower each, a total power of 1,050 horsepower that promises remarkable performance, as you will see in the video test featuring this magnificent RIB.

The sea trial of Mar.Co R-Evolution X36
We begin our test as always by running at idle. At 600 rpm, total fuel consumption is 11.5 liters per hour. We accelerate and see how she gets on plane; the response is immediate.
Getting on plane
At 12 knots we are already on plane and without accelerating the boat settles on the water and instantly reaches 16.5 knots. We accelerate further and reach the standard 20 knots at 2,500 rpm, with a total consumption of 65 liters/hour: really not bad.
We increase to 30 knots to see Mar.Co R-Evolution X36 fully settled on the water. We are navigating in the opposite direction to the waves, but we observe no impact. The hull cuts through, the sea opens the waves in a very smooth manner. We are at 3,500 rpm and the total consumption of this RIB is 110 liters per hour: really very little for navigating at this speed.
40-knot cruising speed
We try to accelerate a bit more to reach 40 knots, a truly exhilarating cruising speed, which this maxi-RIB reaches at 4,350 rpm, consuming only 165 liters/hour. This is undeniable proof of a hull that does not drag but rather glides on the water, as well as a very well-designed vessel.
We also try a wide, steady turn. Mar.Co R-Evolution X36 remains composed and continues to navigate comfortably, which makes us want to accelerate. So throttles down and we reach 54.2 knots, the maximum speed of this vessel.
Stability in turns
The behavior is excellent even in turns, which we test staying around 25 knots: the boat heels without slowing down and draws a perfect circle, with the hull remaining glued to the water. R-Evolution X36 performs admirably, just as Mar.Co E-Motion 36 does, the cabin version of this model: the hull is the same, but this maxi-RIB is slightly lighter, weighing 500 kg less.
A difference that is noticeable and triggers a pleasant sporty behavior during our maneuvers, while remaining fun and always safe.
We really tried hard to challenge her but, as you can see for yourself in the video, we never managed to find any fault with this excellent hull, which is truly smooth on the water.

How R-Evolution X36 is built
The level of finish of Mar.Co R-Evolution X36 is also truly excellent. In the case of the E-Motion 36, the hull generates a cabin maxi-RIB, while this RIB is a more traditional vessel, walkaround, with a decidedly sportier character. Having a certified length of less than 10 meters, moreover, it can be either registered or simply classified as a small craft.
The helm station of R-Evolution X36 is protected by a large T-top that can be equipped with an extendable awning to cover and shade the entire aft dinette as well. The console is complete, equipped with a large display, navigation instruments and everything needed for onboard systems.
As for the deck layout, being a walkaround type, aboard the R-Evolution X36 we have forward-facing seating that will certainly be one of the most popular positions during navigation.
Moving toward the bow we find a V-shaped sofa that, when needed, can be extended with a platform to become a large sunpad. If you are therefore looking for a responsive, sporty and adrenaline-filled day cruiser, with everything needed for a pleasant day trip at sea, Mar.Co R-Evolution X36 is the maxi-RIB for you.
